Our runner. Has he really mended his ways?
« on: January 31, 2008, 06:14:43 AM »
"FALLEN football identity Wayne Carey was partying with well-known sporting figures, an actor and a convicted criminal at his Port Melbourne apartment before he was sprayed with capsicum spray and arrested for assaulting police last weekend.

Traces of cocaine were allegedly found in Carey's apartment, sources said.

Today Tonight reported last night that Stingers actor Kate Kendall and her husband, former Carlton football great Wayne "The Dominator" Johnston, were guests at a party Carey hosted on Sunday."

...

"The source said a high-profile horse trainer and a former VFL footballer who is a known associate of murdered drug dealer Jason Moran were also present."

I know that a quite few people are quite distressed he is associated with our club. Is there cause for concern?

Thanks ())(,

I don't really understand your motivation for that comment but I appreciate your honesty. Have a nice day.  :)

I can't imagine the club would give him the time of day if he was still involved in drugs.
And I'm glad they're not as judgemental as this article.  Just by mentioning Johnson in the article is just being nothing other than mischievous.
Having said that, I wish he'd FO from the club lol

Agree. Suspect it's all just muck raking by the media.

Couldn't care less about what Johnson does in his own time, it's simply just embarrassing watching that old fat bugger run to & from the bench each week.

Surely they can find someone fitter and fresher to the game.

Wish he was fat and old in 1982  :-X.

ACA had Johnston's lawyer on tonight saying nothing happened and he was only brought in in case Johnston's name was linked to anything. ACA of course brought up that the lawyer was the defence lawyer for half the mob in Melbourne.

Hadn't he left before anything had started. And just because of his name he was dragged into it. So I think that he should be left alone. If it was you or me there wouldn't be a mention of our names.
