Injury update - 4/3/08
« Reply #46 on: March 04, 2008, 05:16:16 PM »
Injury update from training today:

Alex Rance seems to have re-hurt his ankle. Went to ground holding his ankle which didn't look too good initially. He walked off and then with the trainers did a run up and back saying the problem is when he changes direction.

Jordy only did laps. Wouldn't kick the footy either. Not sure if it was here or on Y&B but I remember someone giving us game updates saying they thought Jordy had strained a hammy. Perhaps it that.

Also in rehab were Simmo, Kingy, Polak, Collard, Cotchin and Meyer. Cotchin was kicking the footy on both feet so the round 3 return prognosis seems right. Not sure what's wrong with Collard. He joined the rehab group about halfway through training. Polak was still limping so I'd doubt he'll play against Geelong. Why risk him.

Rance trained fully today although he was still discussing his ankle with the trainers after training had finished.

On the other hand Danny looked to be limping again so I guess his hip is still giving him trouble :(.

Polak still looks to be limping too from that bruised heel so he must be doubtful for tomorrow.

Cotchin was kicking again today with his right foot so fingers crossed he is on schedule for a round 3 start.

McMahon, Collard and Kingy, who all didn't train on Tuesday, trained fully today.

how unfortunate for him. it must be so fraustrating thats for sure. does anybody know exactly what is the matter with his hip?

i mean is it bone rubbing? cracked? deteriorating ball and socket joints? nerve problem? muscle related? WTF is going on!

Send him to germany for treament or at least get someone who knows WTF they're doing !!!

i have grave fears that this injury is being mis-diagnosed and mis-treated.

Why didn't Coghlan play on the weekend then - or did he?

Nup didn't play. David King said Cogs is still a fair few weeks away from playing seniors.

I heard he didn't play for Coburg the other day (on the radio, I think) due to hamstring tightness.
