Imagine the starting line up in the two's of Gus in the ruck with Cogs ruck rover and Cotchin rover. Pretty handy!!

yes so true.

I reckon the dude on bench with the clock thing around his neck would have a great day   :thumbsup

He will have a great day as long as the coach doesnt talk too long and listens to the 1 minute warnings  :shh :lol

I would say Gus may play ones, it really depends on what the RFC conditioning staff think they are up to.

Cogs would be pretty underdone and will most likely play twos. i dont know that Gus had been upto.

I will be happy if they play two's!!!
Gus has hardly had a preseason too so I'd reckon he'll be in the 2's too.

Armstrong confirmed Andrew Raines - who dislocated his kneecap against the Kangaroos in Round 2 - will return for the Round 6 clash against Hawthorn at the MCG.

A sign of improvement in our list. Last year Joel, Petts and Rainesy played all 22 games but now they are no longer walk-up starts in the side.

Hope Danny gets fit, see some similarities between him and Schulz. Has an underperforming body that always seems to fail on him. Danny has all the tools to be a very very good footballer. Would be top 5 at the club in terms of kicking, fantastic athletic ability and a sharp footy brain. Yes, needs to be put on the Nathan Foley program and work harder. But needs a healthy body before any of this can eventuate. :pray

You're not always sure how reliable these updates are but good news about Cogs and Danny. Rainesy on the other hand has got 2 weekitis.

:) :) :)

And yes please MT, anything on where is he training-wise?

Without wanting or intending to re-ignite the Cogs debate, my gut feeling says that he will be available at around the same time as Cotchin - maybe rounds 10 - 12 mid season.  I think he was more forward than Cotchin early on but had the hamstring tightness slow his recovery while Cotchin has been catching up unhindered since his ankle mended.  Even though they are coming off 2 vastly different fitness bases, I believe that circumstances will fall so that they are both available at around the same time.

Going by training yesterday Danny is a lot closer to a comeback than Cogs unless Cogs was being rested. At least Danny was kicking the footy.

Thanks MT.  I actually thought Meyer was going to be the least likely to play again this year (and in his case that would have been almost certainly the end) so for his sake that's good news.  At least he might get a last crack at the title.

Rainesy said on Ch 10 news that he hopes to be back for round 8 (if you can get into the side Andrew  ;) ). He thought he had done his knee (ACL/PCL) when it first happened but there's no structural damage to the ligaments.
