« on: February 09, 2008, 01:00:08 PM »
3aw were doing this just before and thought it'd be a bit of fun for us to have a go. So without trying to put pressure on anyone who'll be the next who?

Blank will be the next blank

Please make this one true. Voss and Buckley were the two players I most wished were at the RFC over the last decade or so.

Voss most definitely. One of my favourite non-Tigers of all time. If Connors turns out half as good I'll be estatic.

As for Bucks, I think we've had enough selfish players of our own at Tigerland in the past decade or so.

Still one of those genius players with the footy in his hand and we haven't had many of them. I take your point though.

I'm biased no doubt given I hate Collingwood with a passion ;D and Duncan always gave Bucks a bath. I always thought Bucks was overrated for most of his career (not in terms of ability and talent but because Pie fans and some in the media claimed him to be the greatest ever and better than Voss and Hird). I also thought early on Bucks lacked accuracy in his kicking over 40m. Duncan would always drag Bucks back to the half-back line to exploit this. I had more time for Bucks the footballer from 2002 onwards when his kicking depth and accuracy improved. The 2002 GF was also the one time I thought he played for the team and tried to drag the Pies over the line albeit for all but the last 10 minutes when he went missing. It was the greatness of Voss as well as Aker's goal that denied the Pies yet again.
