Shorts-less

It seems the stock shortages aren't just limited to supporters at the Tiger Den.

The players still haven't received their shorts for tomorrow night so we could be shorts-less (settle Julz, Moi and Steph lol). The squad today was either in their training shorts which does have the Matrix Men sponsor on them or they did what Hydey did and put 3 pieces of tape over the old Motorola logo on last year's shorts. That'll be a good look on prime time tv .

I was told by a friend that there were unopen boxes back at Punt Rd so we're hoping the shorts are in them.

If they get desperate they could allways just staple a smiths crisps packet to the front of their legs. (would cover the sponsor at least). ROFLDIKS FLOPPING ABOUT IN THE WIND.

Actually I can understand the delay in the stock to a point - for us it was a case of sponsors not finalised until late last year (DSmith, Matrixmen), stuff gets made off shore these days.... but struth... could they cut it any finer ??? The reliance on the off shore is the big problem IMHO

So that sounds as if this is Reebok's fault or their supplier's as Magic alluded to if other clubs with Reebok are experiencing similar delays.  Oh well, we'll find out tonight if they've made the deadline.

Maybe we could do a whiparound. I still have an old pair of VFL tiger shorts with only the VFL logo on them that might fit some of the smaller guys. We could call it "supporter nostalgia week" where all the players wear various donated shorts from long time supporters. ROFLMAOOO@some of the shorts with paint marks or grease stains being worn on the field.
