What are your expectations for Patto in 2008 and what would be a good year for him?

to cement the back up ruck duties behind simmo, anything after that will be a bonus.

Play 22 games barring injury as 2nd ruck and follower around the ground. I don't see him as a CHF. Agree bluey he needs to improve his footskills.

Continue to improve like he showed last season and to develop some more "tricks" as a ruckman :thumbsup

One of the best things about season 2007 was Patto  :thumbsup

No Everitt last night but Patto by all reports held his own in the ruck against Jolly. Perhaps being thrown to the wolves last year is already starting to pay off with his development.

Patto is a player l like & does the work required
Had limited ammount of games & the preasure he has had to endure is a credit to his workrate & he will only improve
He did a fantastic job last season & with bigman Graham will take over the ruckwork & allow Simmonds to be dangerous in the forward & backline
The midfield need to learn & help him more by putting in a bigger effort to understand his game at his size
see him as a attacking ruckman who can kick a goal when required
love the player he is & he deserves all the awards & more from Tiger supporters & the club should persist with him  :clapping

22 competitive games
Further game time and development
A continued aggression and work ethos.
More game awareness and pace.
Improved skill.

Considering he only gets 45-55% game time most weeks I think he's going just fine this year.  :thumbsup

Gus is another cub who has missed a heap of footy through injury. He probably won't get back to some proper match fitness until later in the season.

Patto's still inconsistent in the ruck (we lost momentum in the centre on Saturday night when Simmo was rested) and he may need time at Coburg eventually to get a full game into him but he did a couple of nice things around the ground. He's spread to the wing to get on the end of a centre clearance and then pass to Morton? which set up a goal was very good for a big bloke. Big blokes take longer to develop so it's a case of persisting and letting him learn. Remember Benny Gale looked a complete hack when he was around Patto's age.
