they were noy full strength, and roos never takes these games seriously, a win is a win, wepp done , but 3 goals is not impressive
they had more decent players out than us

but all u can do is win who u r up against

all we have to do is win when in counts

then we can get excited

Sure it's only a practice match but we had as many out as they did. The Swans in the daily paper in Wagga Wagga said they were taking this game seriously against us.

Final scores 17.10 to 14.11

Go Tiges
Solid win :clapping

Hughes was quiet after first quarter. Played up back in the last qtr.

Joel Bowden didn’t play. Ball played in the ruck for Swans, pretty ineffectual. Newman very good. Foley serviceable. Raines quiet, but had a run in the midfield – played better there. Thursfield played on O'Loughlin who had no influence.

Patto was great according to Goricho12, was really rapt in his game.

Best players: King, Richo

Injuries: No inj apart from Schultz. Although Jordan McMahon looks like he’s got a hamstring problem but did well.

Andy Collins played a serviceable game. Played a utility role, wing and midfield. Wasn’t brilliant but played a serviceable game.

Thanks to Goricho12 for the scores  :thumbsup :clapping :bow

A win's a win.  I couldn't care less if it was 1 point or 10 goals.  Anything's better than a loss, although sometimes here you wouldn't know it. ::)

Cheers for that Moi. Onya Collo lol.

Good news about Patto and Simmo in the ruck.

I guess we got through relatively unscathed although Jordy having a hamstring problem is a downer.

Newy sounds like he is in for a big year. Has been in the bests every week so far in the praccy matches.

Agree Julz, you can only beat who's put in front of you. Winning is better than losing no matter how you look at it. Make of this win what you will but the boys did what they had to tonight. Hopefully it will carry on to the season proper but for tonight there is no more they could have done. Yes it's only a practice match, but it's a practice match that we were victorious in. Better than a loss surely?

True the results are meaningless but it makes the media who claimed all gloom and doom at Punt Road based on one bad practice match loss look like fools.
