Terry reiterated that we definitely won't be trading away draft picks.

Was asked if we would trade a Richo or Ottens for draft picks and start from scratch or rebuild the side from below. Terry didn't rule it out but but said he didn't below in totally bottoming out. Said he wants to win and used Geelong as an example of rebuilding.

He also dismissed entirely that Sydney had been paying him.

Can someone tell me what "not bottoming out" means (and no arse jokes pls lol)
Haven't we been doing this for the last 4 years with Danny?  Trying to get ahead by topping up the list and going backwards.
I thought we bottomed out this year - how much lower can you go?
Can someone tell me what he means - i'm confused again lol

I would say by "bottoming out" he meant trading away all senior players with value for draft picks and then bringing the kids from these draft picks through all at once. Basically starting a team from scratch.

Alternatively you keep your best senior players as a base and then bring kids up from below. He mentioned Geelong as an example. I'd guess he was referring to the likes of King, Graham, Riccardi, Milburn and Sanderson. All were senior players at the Cats when Mark Thomson took over 5 years ago. I think Kingsley was there also.

Also remember Sam asking Terry - "Will Richmond get itquickly down to Richo..." and before Sam could finish Terry just rolled off almost word for word what Sam had been criticizing the Tigers for all year and before. "We won't be stuffing around with the ball and chipping it to stationary players."  :)

Wallace also had his wife and 3 kids in the audience. All the kids were wearing Richmond jumpers and Terry was saying it's all in or none in when Eddie, finding out Terry's daughter supported Collingwood, conveniently had a Pies guernsey under the desk and threw it to her saying here's a real jumper and telling her to hold it up dear (so the sponsors are shown). Talk about cringe and wanting to throw up >:(. Poor Eddie couldn't have another club getting all the attention on the Collingwood show  ::)

Doesn't that constitute a conflict of interest?  I hope the daughter threw it back.

Terry has been making all the right noises.

- Not trading early picks, and developing our own.

- Richmond is a sexy club

- And what really caught my attention was when he said that the team won't be stuffing around with the ball and chipping it sideways to stationary players.  He said that the team will be looking to give off the ball to players on the move.

MOVEMENT !!  Running hard to support and to attack !!  The dud has turned us into freaken statues !!

Something I've been crying for all along.  Players running hard from behind the play to demand and receive the ball with momentum from teamates in possession.  Something that has been non-existent at tigerland for some time and something the dud hasn't even been aware of.
