Yeah or Neah - 36. Ty Zantuck
« on: August 13, 2004, 02:37:52 AM »
As the season is now about judging who stays or goes at the end of the year, thought we might have a look at each player who is on a knife's edge and get opinions until the end of the season.

Like a few others Ty has found some form the last couple of weeks are an indifferent season. Main criticism of him is his attitude. When focussed he can do a job down back or pinch hit up forward. I'm not sure of his contract situation but we think his out of contract at the end of the year. Should he stay or should he get his marching orders.

He seems to have been a bit lost this year - maybe too many outside distractions.  Give him a year with TW and then see how he goes.  Has done some good things year, especially in the latter half of the season.

He's lucky - six weeks ago I'd have said goodbye.

Now I am leaning towards keeping him. When he is switched on he is good - when he isn't  :'( >:( :'(

He has something that alot of our players lack - body strength and that's the thing that has probably swayed me - just  8)

In a team that lacks tough intimidating individuals, unfortunately Ty is the only one we have.

Listening to Terry over the last few days and also looking back at the Dogs, he had imposing individuals who could put their stamp on a game, and this is why I believe we should keep Ty.

With the right coach and direction theres no reason why Ty couldnt be part of our forward line, he's only 22 with many more years ahead of him.

Heard a rumour that Melbourne are looking to offload the troubled Travis Johnstone and that they wanted to trade for Ty Zantuck.....if this is true I say we go for it.

While he may be good on song, his attitude stinks and while I think he has some value in the market it might be worthwhile considering what we can get for him. If we get something suitable, then I would support him moving on.

He wont be delisted.....the only way he would leave is via trade.

Another who survives the cut solely in virtue of the fact that we have a heap of duds to shove out the door before him.

Better fix his attitude or he will be the first one gone at the end of 2005.

Will be the first AFL player taken out "gangland" style in the middle of the MCG  :gobdrop

At the moment, he has "connections" keeping him on the list  :lol
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.

Is versatile and can play forward, if needed, or back and play on taller opponents.  So doesn’t seem to mind a challenge.

Has a fair amount of confidence in himself (maybe over confidence).  Better managed and with added maturity could prove a valuable team player.

Agree Disco, he adds a bit of grunt to a team badly in need of some.  At least deserves to see how he will go under a different coaching structure.

Keep.

I agree with WP about his performances recently and JohnF about the duds in front of Ty to get the big POQ

He just hangs in there with me as he has a bit of toughness in him and whether or not that is enuff to keep him will be up to Plough

Zantuck Zux.
Zux is the name of his shop.lol :lol

I had to black-ban my mrs from going to that shop.....the way I see it, he is under-acheiving and is just cruising along....with a bit of return on the field Id be wiling to lift the ban.

I think the best answer is here that there is a long queue in front of him.
