He doesnt know what to do with Lids.
He was hell bent off playing him off half back 12 months ago.
Oh ,how we forget.
Two words for you... LUKE HODGE

What has Hodge have too do with it, ::) I could go and say Jason Gram :o

Nice try Magpie - you are a Collingwood supporter.

Where was Luke Hodge getting played in his 4th & 5th years in the system?
Oh that's right, half back

Now that he's a couple of years older and is now a full time midfielder who rests forward, does that mean that the coach didn't know where to play him in his early years, or do you think it may have just been part of his development?

Your football knowledge is lacking

right on cue. :rollin

Well its a FACT.
If and IF , you actually go to the games, he used Lids off half back for quiet a while during 2006 and a bit in 2007
I get bagged for stating the truth ::)

Yes it's a fact.  But you conveniently forget the rider to that fact that it was also to teach him defensive pressure skills and may not be the end position.

Mate, I live thousands of miles away and I knew that.  Your selective facts are hilarious.

i can tell you that the coaching staff have had issues in where to play Lids and a lesser extent Tambling, thats your problem you if dont want to  beleive, it a free world. ::)
Had nothing to do with teaching his defensive skills either

please tell us about these so called issues Jackstar, as you seem to know whats going on in the minds of our coaching staff, i would have thought in this day and age of the professional footballer an important requirement would be able to play in many positions especially someone with young Bretts capabilites.

And i very rarely miss a game by the way, good try anyway ;)...i just love the way you continually get stuck into the football club you supposedly support..seems a bit of a paradox actually.

you and I both know rog, jack is a disgruntled ex-employee, and everything he says should be seen in that light

I love the RFC. I have been a supporter longer than most of you, went to my first game in 1966 , Northey kicked 9 against melbourne, played half forward.
Would love to see the tiges successful, unfortunately it wont happen with the current structure they have in place

You'd sell your soul to the devil to get rid of Wallace, Jack.
BTW we're all Tiger supporters, don't give us "you're-a-better-supporter-than-us" crap

I just think that if you are such a keen supporter, then and we have a decent year - say we win 10 or 11 games you have painted yourself into a corner.

Half the crap that you post just sounds bitter - and by the way this forum is called "ONE EYED RICHMOND"
If we improve like a Collingwood or a Kangaroos circa 2007 then you look stupid.  Not likely but still.....

What would you rather - look stupid BUT Richmond have a great year OR have the satisfaction of being right but the Tigers finishing down the bottom of the ladder.

Either way, if you are a real supporter, you're going to look at personal downside this year.
All because you want to jump the gun and judge OUR club before a ball is kicked in anger.

Why would you do that to yourself?

I am not in dreamworld like most on this site.
Seeing that you like quoting, go and find the thread from last year ( 2007 season)when I said we wouldnt win a game for the first 10 weeks,
I am a realist, reality is we are no good and we will be bottom four this year, god help if Simmons gets injured again.
I dont think that Wallace can coach, thats my opinion, first hand I might add!
You people judge Wallace on what, not results thats for sure.
As he was a terrible coach at the doggies at the finish .
You are sucked in by him being media friendly etc, guess what, the media will get right in to him if they lose the first game.
You know something, I actually care about the RFC, and I am really concerned by the current direction the club is heading in.
I see no signs of improvement but heaps of spindoctoring about recruits who are built up as superstars who cant play, players who have difficenies in the there game being signed up on extended contracts before a game is played, might add the same guy was offered as trade bait by Miller on several occassions during trade week over the past 2 season.
They then sign up some light weight from the western bulldogs for 3 years ::) on a $1,000,000 contract who is the most unaccountable footballer playing the game, might add played 8 games at Werribee last year, gets traded to the bottom of the ladder club and gets more money, you work that one out, cause I CANT.
Yes, i am extremely concerned where this club is heading, and so are many supporters, have a look a t the current membership numbers, not good.
Also big deal that I was involved there, it just opened my eyes up to what an unprofessional club we are really are and I can fully understand why we havent been successful for so many years.  Didnt find any problem getting a gig elsewhere either. ;)
As I have said many times, I dont think through my heart like most of you here do, I love the RFC and would love to see us make the finals, reality is that we have poorly recruited and therefore have a poor list and I beleive that we are poorly coached. Thats my opinion.
Lets just see what eventuates next thursday nite. I dont want to see the short kicks sideways in defensive 50, but that Terrys game plan to hold on to possesion of the ball and go short. If we get b ehind in the game and Richo plays behind the ball, thats the sign of defeat and they then try and avoid a blow out.

I appreciate you talking like a supporter, thanks for that. I wasn't sure and I read as many of your posts to try and work out your agenda.

To me, this is not about hearts vs head - you can swing between both when you follow the Tigers, sometimes in the same post.

I don't doubt your passion - in fact i don't doubt any one who posts on this forum - 99% would want to see a great team play for what is a great club.

So if you want to think I love the coach, thats your interpretation - the point of my post was less about the Tigers and more about how you support the tigers.

If you come out before Round 1 and declare the side is no good (and if you did that last year, it really reinforces my point) then I think you have backed yourself into a corner.

If we do well, your wrong, if we perform badly you get the satisfaction of being proven right.  Now it is human nature to want to be right. So us failing almost seems like your best option this year.  That is what I don't get.
If you think we are no good, why post that on a supporter forum  before round 1?

Maybe just maybe we are all sick of being losers..  Alot of members have dropped off.  All I am saying is where i see the club. We have the worst captain in the comp, we are poorly coached, we overuse the ball something shocking.  There is a reason we are on bottom you know, and its not caused by luck either.

I am very confused as to who's quoting what in this thread  :rollin

If you don't know how to use quotes, try changing the colour of the text, or something.

I don't know how to use them either so you're not alone  :wallywink
