Ordinary first half by the Tiges I thought, but they battled through and steadily got on top.
Jake King was terrific, Johnston had a good start and Jordy was handy
Not a great standard game but a win is a win is a win.
I don't have unrealistic expectations.  We could have lost that game and I would have thought well that's where we are in our development.  But we didn't, we won and that's all you can ask for.

Well done, Tiges

I saw gelling of a team. They worked well together and they didn't get caught much!!

Raines played a ripper game, Kingy for the Brownlow and Schulzy was handy as well.
And you may not think I care for you

yeah I agree. Early same old things but they knuckled down and worked hard and slowly things came together. I know it is only 16th v 15th from last year but at least there are good signs there. Jackson King Thursty Schulz ... even Raines and Hughes

I guess the pleasing thing is, moi,we could have lost the game and we didn`t. In the past we just would have lost a la round 1 last season

He'd be leading it at this stage ;)

Anyways brilliant win by the Tiges. In the 2nd half we really turned it on. Thought Richie was fantastic in the 2nd half when he kept it simple rather than be too outlandish. Schulz too I thought was really handy. Very mobile for his size and nice skills. Also looks quite comfortable down back, probably because he doesn't have to worry about Richo crashing into him lol

Cotchin, Edwards, Conners, Rance and Polo can all add to the mix IMHO.

The first four if not this year then definitely 2009.

One thing for sure the hope's back amongst supporters.

Just fantastic to win and win on the big stage in front of the big crowd something that the Essendon game late last year stood us in good stead for. Very happy but keeping a lid on it. After all we played Carlton who are at best equal to us or as evidenced by last night worse so we should keep our feet firmly on the ground as we have all felt sore after falling from great heights....................
The euphoria of last night was great and hopefully we will have nights, emotions, wins like last night more often in the future.

Difference between Richmond and Carlton fans going into 2008.
We know we will most likely struggle so our expectations are not outlandish or unrealistic and its ok to use the old cliche one week at a time, so if the kids develop quicker than we expected them to fantastic, if they don't we know where we stand and we know to be patient.

Carlton thought Judd would be the Messiah and that he was the missing piece to their Premiership Puzzle. Every Carlton supporter got sucked in BIG TIME.

Right now footy is fantastic being a Richmond supporter is great and finishing a round higher than Geelong with Carlton on the bottom is great also. The Footy Gods are starting to get things right again. :thumbsup
