getting back on track read a peice this morning in the Herald/Sun by Dermie about how FB niggle the crap out of FF & hold them & the warning the players give out before the big strike
The sadest part in the article which is true & l heard about this through many levels of football is that the FF's lead towards umpires just so they can see what it really going on with holds. A FF should be able to lead anywhere & not have to feel preasured to lead hoping his going to show the umpires whats happening & thats where this frustration comes from.
l was tagged most of my time in football being a very fast rover but tag was never used it was pure man him up follow him
This needs to be really looked at for the future by umpires & umpiring panels & also be included in striking cases at the tribunals, not that l'm saying l condone violence, but alot must be taken into account of the players actions & why, cause most of these cases are done out of pure frustrations cause the game is not be umpired properly
3 field umpires should be able to control & see thier part of the ground instead of all of them focusing the ball in play
in my day there was only 1 umpire & they did a much better job its only the constant rule changes & so many implemented on the game these days where they need 3 just to remember all them rules
just my thought anyway
l have to admit l seen some umpires belted in my days
some being related to me & l'm thinking beauty he copped it
l reading in the papers & forums that Hall has only recieved 1 week really & that the league is weak.
Are those people effing doctors or Barry Hall, his wrist could heal & he be back playing within 3-4 weeks, that would mean he got 3 - 4 weeks or it might not heal good at all & he could be out the whole season, injuries like that could even be career ending (Swans Jamie Lawson) for memory but l be going over the top there with Bazza but you never know we aint doctors
PS, l dont have much time for Dermies dribble recently his lost it abit like Caro, l met the man many times over the years & admired him for his tuff football, but l have to admit he wrote a good piece this time round
