your right TM but tell me what advantage there would be bringing Bowden into the line up against the Doggies.  IMO the running game we had last week far outweighs the possesion game that Bowden likes to be a part of.

I hate to even think it but with the smaller Telstra Dome ground, the running style we employed so effectively against the Purple Haze will be far less effective. We may need bigger players as I'm guessing be more pack play/contested football due to the reduced room on the ground to run into.

I would prefer if Bowden remained in the 2's but I can begrudgingly see the logic if he is included.

That's true TM but for the long term I think a message needs to be sent to the group that if you lose your spot then you're at risk at spending time at Coburg if others perform. Remember Richmond won with 22 contributors while Coburg lost coughing up another big lead with Joel in their side.

Only the squad for Sunday trained today so it was the 22 of last week plus Jacko, Joel, Tivs, Petts and Howat. Petts had a small bandage around his leg just above his right knee so he might have a niggle. With Cam missing 3 weeks, I guessing the ins will be Joel, Tivs and Jacko and no outs (McGuane is fine).

Gus also trained to catch up on match fitness but you'd expect him to be coming back via Coburg.

Miller on SEN

Joel was very good on the weekend at Coburg as you'd expect but it's hard for him given the performance of the (Richmond) side. SEN presuming that means Joel won't play.

Just say Miller and Ryan O'Connor are now aware of what some supporters at training thought of Joel's game at Coburg lol and that there should be no changes this week. O'Connor said he thought Joel was very good and it's hard for supporters to know the specific roles the coach gives players.

Rawlings said in EOTT that Joel still needs to tighten up defensively. That might have something to do with it.
