Ditto. Hope Polly spends the week mainly on goalkicking as he was otherwise very good. The doggies lack height in defence so if he holds his marks there's an opportunity to kick some goals this week.

The dropping of Bowden left Polak under no false illusion as to where he's at after a very ordinary first 3 games.
He mostly responded well.
Let's see if he can back it up this week.

Well done Polly.  :thumbsup

Looks like he might be the perfect replacement for Richo in the forward line when he retires. Great mark, should kick a lazy 8 each week but can't kick so ends up kicking 3 or 4.

He is NOT Richo...

Surely that means he can be taught how to kick properly.

I'd be happy with 3 or 4 goals from Polly. He's only kicked 3 goals twice in his whole career to date. Kicked 3 against the Dogs last year.

lol. He should have kicked at least 5 on Sunday. I like the guy though, don't misinterpret my playful dig at him.  :thumbsup

Needs a complete reconstruction of his kicking action.

If this can be done he will be a very dangerous CHF.

Have others noticed that he seems to have a very distinct kicking action for set shots at goal and for his field kicking. His kicking style for shots at goal looks awkward, field kicking more natural :-\

Maybe he should try a bit of Richo's tactic - go back an extra 10 and make like he's playing on.  ???

At training it looks as though he hooks his toe up and gets underneath the ball so it floats too much in the air. He was also missing just to the right when he did miss a goal.

Polak brings up cross-country ton

RICHMOND’S Graham Polak says his overwhelming feeling on reaching his 100-game milestone is relief.

Now in his seventh season in the AFL, Polak said he would set his sights on doubling the tally after getting to his 100 against the Western Bulldogs at Telstra Dome on Sunday.

“To come over from Fremantle and play my 100th here is a great thrill," Polak said.

“I’ve put in a lot of effort to get to this stage. I’ve still got a lot to offer, so to get this milestone is really great.

“Hopefully I’ll build on this and get another hundred under my belt.”

The Tigers’ season so far is a big contrast to this stage last year. They’re 2-2 and in the top eight, after having to wait 12 weeks for their first win last season.

But Polak said there was no danger of the side feeling content.

“We don’t want to get to ahead of ourselves,” Polak said.

“We’ve won two out of four, so we just want to build on that.

“So coming up against Bulldogs this week, who haven’t lost a game, is going to be a big test but we’re feeling pretty confident about it and we’re ready to give them a good show.

“They’re a good side and we’re going to go out there with everything to gain and just have a real crack at it.”

Last week the Tigers were 64-point winners over Polak's former club Fremantle.

The former Fremantle player admitted that it was good to get a win over the Western Australian club with which he began his AFL career.

“It’s always good to go over there and play against them but especially to get a win like that over there in front of that crowd is always satisfying. It’s probably one of those games you look at, at the start of the year.”
