one of the biggest training drills used in football is the boxing technic be it on a heavy bag or the players wearing the pads & gloves
its a wonder why there is so much hitting its breed into the players in training ( this for hand speed not for fighting
)
people say soccer has the send off rule, yes it does but Football is a more intense & physical game that if you send a player off will give the other side a huge advantage & this will only punish really the players left short on the ground cause they must work harder to cover the extra player so this in turn punishes the whole side & every player may well have done the crime. l,m totally against it.
Its like say a domestic voilence charge, the husband assults the wife badly (which l know of a case but its not me
)
The police charge him for the assault & takes it too court & the judge fines the husband $2000 & community work & he does not have employment. heres the catch
The wife & husband are still together & she is the worker & bringing in the money & who is paying the fine ??? yep she is, so she has been punished twice for a assault she never committed l mean wtf is that all about.
Now they fight verbally over being short of money & struggling cause she paying his fine & his saying she caused it & shes saying he did it which she is in the right but she is being punished again by verbal abuse
So red carding a player sending him off the ground is like punishing the whole team, it just dont sit with me at all because the other players are being punished for something they had no direct link & no control over
l attend alot of seminars on football & have stood up & contested against the red card & after giving them that scenario alot of players, coaches & some police (who attend to give laws on social clubs which is common) have said, hey thats a very good point you made about the husband & wife
The red card is & has been in use in some leagues for a few years now & l seen it mis-used on many occassins when the clubs have a umpire from each club & its not a good idea. l also seen it mis-used in games with umpires represented by the umpires league but very rare maybe 5 cases over the years
We donot need another anvenue to destroy the game at league level, Trail by video was brought in for such behind play assaults & bans & hefty fines are by far enough. Some reoffending drunk drivers or capable drivers dont get fines like that its unjustified football fines another thing l'm against but thats another story itself. Time for football cheers
