A new Dawn
« on: April 21, 2008, 12:42:23 PM »
Full credit to the club in turning the team around, Wallet especially has really earned his money this week

The best thing about the improved performances is that it has been done on the baCK OF YOUTH, and at the expense of unaccountable experienced players.

Shane Edwards, Jack Riewalt, Tambling, Pattison, Foley ,White, Deledio, Thursty, King, Moore and Shultz, have improved out of sight, and the news just keeps getting better, these are young players who still have alot of improving left in them

At Coburg, Cotch Collins JON, Jackson Rance Putt Connors Casserley Gourdis are improving slowly. All these players have elite talent and potential.

Mith Morton, Mcmahon and Polak ( last week) have all justified their trades and there is a nice mix of experience with the youth as Johno, Richo and Brown and Simmo are all contributed.

There is no doubt we have turned the corner, and are on track for contesting for regular finals births in 2010-2011.

Regardless of the doomsdayers wishes this football club is on the right track at last.

So far this "New Dawn" is fantastic but it is a one month test with the Hawks and Cats still to come.

One capitulation could turn into a spiral of self-doubt, put up good performances against the Cats and Hawks and we're definitely on way.

l agree if we copped a floging from the Hawks it could be damaging the following week against Geelong & then St-Kilda
What l was happy about is we played good football on the Telstra Dome & we kicked a good score against a high scoring fast running side but costly errors cost 4 points of brain fading football. But we are not the only side this year to be brought down by the fast finishing Bulldogs, re; Adelaide
Signs are good yes, but we got alot of work to do & to mold a team together that will play for each other, know each others games & play for the pride of the jumper the RFC

A bit early to talk about a new dawn as we've seen plenty of false ones but the past 2 weeks has been a blast supporting the Tiges given the style of footy and the number of cubs standing up. As tigersalive said the test is the next 3 weeks. We go up another level in class against the Hawks and then again against the Cats. The Saints have just been a bogey side who have pumped us for most of the past 5 years. I'm still not expecting wins but we need to be competitive.

Bet when you dredged a three year old post up you thought you were making someone else look like a billy hunt instead of yourself.

If you wanna go along with whatever Blaisee and the others are saying thats your right. If you want Richmond to be the equivalent of Direct Selling group, that is also your right. I support Richmond and Richmond should never be like that, where everyone just agrees with everyone. Its a joke. If you want to blindly follow Blaisee thats your right as well and if me bringing up a couple of posts (I could have brought up many more by the way) makes me a billy hunt then thats fine. Richmond supporters should never be treated like poo, if you have a different view then thats up to you Owl.

Just admit that you were wrong. Admit that every year you come in here with the same old stuff at trade time thats all. I didnt want to bring up any posts of yours, I could have brought up plenty more by the way, but when you constantly refer to supporters like myself as supporters who take pot shots from the cheap seats then we will respond. Just admit that every year you come in here and try and take the pee out of the supporters that you wanna string along by the nose.

10F, he is right about your current posting and I don't see the relevance of you raising this post from 3 years other than to prove his point that your taking shots from the cheap seats.

It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
