Jon was very ordinary, his man kicked 3 goals and killed him all day long. Not to mention the turnovers  ::)

Well JON did win the coaches award at the after match. Which isn't for BOG (Carnell got that obviously) but for the player they thought did their job, worked hard and did the team things.

So maybe he wasn't too bad after all  :thumbsup

Personally thought it was JON"s best game this year. At the huddle at 3qtr time he received the "kudo's" of the coach. Thought his disposal was v.good - some beautiful passes to the leading target

Thought Cleve's last quarter was very good - he put up a great chase along the boundary - nneds to do more of that :thumbsup

As I said last week Cotchin = special ;D

Agree. Rance and Collins should come into the seniors. It's not as though the Coburg seniors are flying and they need to add some class now that Jack, Edwards and co are playing with Richmond.

Actually it's good to see all 5 RFC players contributed in some way. Collard named in the bests is an encouraging sign. Hopefully that meant he is working harder.

Rance was fantastic today, he run all over the ground is fantastic. He played on the wing for a while also and has a great motor.

He attitude towards footy is fantastic and he is a great leader.

Collard played most of the game in on the ball or wing today and was pretty good. He is getting better at handballing off when under pressure instead of taking on the man. I really think that his ability and talent have hindered his development as a player, i think he may have done it too easy as a younger player and hence has kept some bad habits. I think we really need to persist with him and he could turn into a real freaky player.

Collins worked well through the middle and Connors had a great first half and didnt do a great deal in the second. Looked a class about though, especially in the first half.

Dave Gourdis continues to come along as a key defender, his strength and pace is a real plus and his defence efforts continue to improve by the week. Wouldnt surprise to see him push for senior selection soon.

For the Coburg boys, Fort Caruso responded well to being dropped and played a very solid game on the ball. Benny Clifton was good once again on a wing and is proving a very handy player for the 2's. Big Fossie dominated around the ground in the ruck and Nick Lynch and Joey Gazzo continued their goal kicking spree's.

On a side note, John Morris has broken his foot (on friday) in two places and will be out for atleast 8 weeks. On a positive note this should allow Rance to cement a spot in the seniors.

He didnt play the whole game on the wing, probably most of a qtr i would say.

Collins will be close to getting back in the Seniors, he needs to be able to play consistant footy for the seniors before he can lay claims for a Richmond spot.

I think they obviously rate him at Richmond and are trying to encourage him along by naming him as an emergency, he certainly has some upside.

Just looking forward to the next couple of VFL weeks. No VFL footy next week and then following week the Coburg ressies have the bye. What will that mean for our RFC boys especially those playing with the ressies? It's not ideal to have fit RFC players without a game for 3 weeks  :-\.

No sign of Rhett, he was watching on Sunday but there are people missing out who are ahead of him so it is looking unlikely that he will play many games barring injury.
