Tivendale does not deserve another game for the Richmond Football Club.
His time has passed. Look at the hawks and how they got rid of Nick Holland and J. Barker.

John Barker played a farewell game - round 22, 2006.

Hawthorn wanted Nick Holland to play in 2005 because he was on $600,000 for the last year of his back-ended contract but he was injured.

Your examples don't support your point. In fact, they are contrary to it.

big deal okay barker got one and holland didn't. so im half right.
I can think of so many examples, how about Lance Whitnall, he never got one.

All im trying to say is if his form seems to be mickey mouse at coburg but he is found out when he plays for the seniors.
His time has passed and you need to get over him.

How can you not want a Matty White or Edwards playing in the team ahead of tivers i will never know...

Cotchin is already too good for the VFL level.

He's just not fit enough at this stage.

He did a few things that lesser players just couldn't cope with and weren't expecting.

JON was very good as well, he finds the ball easy enough, the only time he looks awkward is when he doesn't take the first option.

I know others will not agree but I think that the coaching staff has got to send a message to all of the players no matter who.  If you go back to VFL (or are there now) and you perform, if there is a spot then you will get picked for the AFL. There must be this motivation. Imagine if guys like Jack or McGuanne or any of the younger guys got sent back to the VFL after a few bad weeks and didnt think they had chance to get back ito AFL if they performed. This rule must be for everybody on list if you have played zero games or 230.

Bowden and Tivs did thier bit and athough I agree Tivs is not part of our future, that motivation of playing well and getting called has to be part of our future.  As such he should get called up.

disagree

When the players you talk about are perennial underperformers in the worst performed team of the last 30 years, there should be a different set of rules for them.\

As such tivs Bowden and Petts all need to do more to get a game IMHO. Cotch Connors Polo should all get games ahead of them IMHO

Ok you disagree, I have no problems there. But then please tell me what they have to do to get called up?  I would never say Bowden has been a "perennial underperformer". Sure he has not been good this year and his style of play does not suit everybody (looks lazy and soft) but he has been one of our best (of a bad bunch) for a long time.

Even though I liked what I saw of Cotch I think he needs a few weeks at this level first. If he does what he did in the second half for a whole game then call him up for sure, but lets see he is match fit and getting used to the pace first. This kid will be a star so no hurry. Polo and Connors did not do anywhere near enough to get games. What message does it send to players if you call up those who are not in the best group ?

Richmond have played better with Petts and Bowden in the VFL, and Coburg has struggled a little with Bowden and Petts in the team.

Coburg ressies?

I was impressed by our forward set up. Rawlings is a good coach.

Hughes out of FF looked impressive. Richmond has a spot in the forward line for abit more hight. We have looked a tall forward short. Hughes, Polak or Bowden should be be putting their and up for that role.

Bowden has a future at Richmond IMO. 25 odd touches on a forward flank - gave 2 goals off, marked/led well, had 8 shots himself. Strong, classy and smart.

Connors and JON were both in our best IMO.

Cartledge is our 3rd best ruck.

Good to see Polo tagging well and getting a touch himself.

Pettifer is soft. Did 4 or 5 squib things. Delist for Collard. Tivendale I don't hate - but has found his level at VFL. Both selfish footballers, who should not be part of future.

Cotchin and Cogs were good in 2nd half.  :cheers
