Tigers vs Cats

Ablett has a slight tear in his calf and will miss the hall of fame game after missing last week's game for Geelong. He must be in some doubt for our game in 9 days time.

If Ablett does play then it's whether Hydey can stick close to him when Ablett pushes forward. McGuane played on Ablett when forward last time down at Geelong and did okay on him.

The Cat forward that constantly does us over is Steve Johnson. Usually gets his 4-5 goals including pulling one or two out of his backside.

Ottens and Ablett will be tested and could play against us.

Ottens could return against Richmond

“He’ll be tested later in the week, so we’ll see how his week progresses – likewise with Ablett … Both those guys will be tested and we’ll see if they’re available to play.”

“Milburn just bruised some ribs, but he’s the only one. He should be available to play next week, and there’s no concerns with any others (11 Cats played last night) which is good.”

I'll be down for the game. I'm looking forward to it and feeling a lot more confident than when I booked my ticket at the start of the year.

Anyone else from OER going?

As usual, the curtain raiser at 10:30 is Coburg Geelong too, don't forget.

Big test for Lids, Cling will go straight to him and I will be watching with interest.

Foley vs. Ling

I'd love to see Lids vs Corey.  :thumbsup

Definitely  :thumbsup. Footy the way it use to be with a curtainraiser so you can watch our cubs run around live before the seniors.

i am scared we will get smashed. A win would just give us 30-40% more confidence. the belief will not be as low as it has been over the years.

Outs - Hyde, Jackson

Ins - Cotchin, Hughes

play Hughes @ FF. Jay @ CHB.

from today's Herald-Sun

Gary Ablett is doubtful after scans showed a slight tear in his calf, while Tom Harley (buttock) looks certain to play.

The Cats have earmarked the weekend for the return of Brad Ottens from a torn plantar fascia tendon in his foot, and say he is likely to play seniors.

Thompson said Ottens won't play while Ablett is "a 50-50 chance, 60-40 to play."

Mathew Stokes will miss Saturday’s clash due to suspension.

Also it'll be 15 degrees, showers with possible local hail and storms on Saturday.

dont pay attention to that crap weather report i just saw it as well and thought the same thing.

remember the hawks game, not that we needed it but all week the report was rain and hail and we got jack poo

hope ablett ends up playing because that way we can measure exactly where we are

If Geelong has any weakness it is their ruck when Ottens is out. Blake gets a lot of hitouts but he isn't a big possession ruckman around the ground and he doesn't have the versatility of Otto who play as a forward. Of course last year we were so bad we made him a local Geelong with his first 2 goals  ::). He's only kicked goals against crap sides like Essendon and Melbourne this year too.

I hope Ablett plays too. Good education for our cubs to go up against him.

Lets see Scarlett match up on Richo on the wing.

Hawks playing much better footy this year than the Cats, so hopefully the week off hasnt broken our improvement.
