5 year deals - yeah or neah?

There's a lot of talk now about giving players 5-year contracts with Jonathan Brown and others.

We've seen both sides. We were able to get Simmo with a 5-year deal and it's worked out in the long run whereas Gas did his knee and struggled.

So what are your thoughts about club signing up players to long-term contracts?

Depends on the player, their injury history and where we're at.  We are ripe for the taking of a player like Brown.  He would be a handy replacement for Richo when he decides to hang up the boots.  Richo's gonna leave a massive hole, so would luv to have Browny.

As a standard rule ... nup.

If a player is worth an extension after 4 years at an elevated package - good for him, if not, ta ta
