Texas Hold 'em poker is the trendy one over the last few years.

Having Italian on one side of my family means we play(ed) mainly Scopa  :thumbsup instead of poker.

How about some bourlotto then MT  :thumbsup

Is that what the Greeks call it. In Scopa polite trash-talk amongst family members and a doing a victory lap around the table after a win is the norm  :lol. Euchre, Swedish 500 and occasionally Cribbage are also on our family menu.

What is "one for his knob" again?

Used to luv playing that but can't remember how to play it.

My favourite game is a really bitchy game of rummy called Canadian rummy.

Deal each player 11 cards.

Eight rounds of games.  1st game you have to get three of a kind to go down, using jokers and twos as wilds, to make up the three if you want.
The next round it's 2 x 3 of a kind
Next 4 of a kind
Next 2 x 4 of a kind
Next 5 of a kind
Next 2 x 5 of a kind
Next 6 of a kind
Next 2 x 6 of a kind

You get 10 taws(sp) where you can buy cards you see you want off the pack + three extra cards.  So for every card you buy, you use a taw and you get three, six, nine cards depending on how many you buy.

Bitchy but fun game.

LOL I haven't played it in years either that for a sec I thought you made that up ;D. One point for a Jack that's the same suit as the start card.
