could become a very damaging player for us, but people are saying he hasnt got a defensive side to his game. still i agree that bringing him onto the official list really couldnt hurt. theres atleast 10 blokes on our list who id fling before young collard.

All of our kids should be given a senior game between now and the end of the season regardless of any imperfections/ weaknesses they may possess. The time has come and gone for Terry to tinker with the list. The fruits of his labour should be getting picked now and since our season is shot and finals is out of the question then kids like Collard should be promoted at the expence of others who have tried and failed.

I've heard reports that he is very unfit and can not run out a game  :-\

I would love to see him elevated also. If he can develop some defensive pressure to his game like an Davey type then he would be fantastic1

I would like to see him regardless.

Need to play he kid.

He is 21 and highly talented. He has the potential to be better than Tivendale/Howat/Hyde, significantly.

He will give us aboriginal flair in the forward pocket.

Allowing him to play this role lets you play: Edwards/Tambling/Cotchin/Morton (the future) types further up the ground.

IMO King as the defensive foward, Collard as the x-factor.

Firstly wilba, Clay is a rookie and would need to be elevated. To be elevated we need someone to go to the long term injury list. We don't have anyone to go on there so for now Clay is a rookie.

Look he played his first senior game for Coburg on the weekend and I thought he did very well indeed.

Can certainly see the improvement in his fitness. Played in the mid field and across the HF line and was very good defensively.

And as he does most weeks he tried to take mark of the year and nearly pulled it off  ;D

His fitness is improving by the week. At the start of the season he would only play as a deep forward, now he has mainly been playing off a wing in the Coburg 2's.

As WP said it was only his first senior VFL match so he needs to build on Sunday's game and continue to work hard on his fitness, the rest will come if he does that coz he has so much talent its not funny.

He controls his own destiny, no doubt about it. If he doesnt make it at AFL level there will only be one person to blame.

Lets hope the kid continues his improvement.
