You don't get it, its not about TW.
That's the point some don't get Darth. Even Plough knows it's not about him but certain doomsayers are obsessed with him and need to bring him up in every post
.
Good posts btw Darth

Rebuilding from scratch takes years.....
Pre 1999:
CrawfordSchwab:
1999: McPharlin (10), Johnson (25),
Clarke (33), Bateman (48), Hazell (55), Young (psd), Picioane (t), Bowyer (r)
2000: Ries (21), Greene (28),
Williams (43), Lonie (58), Dent (psd), Rhen (t - gave up 12)
2001:
Hodge (1), Ladson (16), Elstone (20),
Brown (32), Mitchell (36), Cox (48),
Campbell (r), Osborne (r)2002: Brennan (8 ),
Boyle (51), Veale (65), Everitt (t - gave up 6,22), Hunter (t - gave up 35),
Sewell (r)2003: Miller (25),
Dawson (41), Ball (51), Scott (psd),
Croad (t- gave up 10), Jacobs (t - gave up Veale), Beaumont(t - gave up Loats), Thurgood (r), Kane (r)
Clarkson:
2004:
Roughead (2), Franklin (5), Lewis (7), Murphy (21), Little (26),
Taylor (53), Nixon (t - gave up 10, 37, gained 7),
Young (r)Schwab despite plenty of misses and keeping plenty of deadwood too long still left behind him 13 best 22 (finals standard) players for Clarkson. 1 young ruck, 2 young KPPs to a list that already had many talls. Scored well in the 2001 super draft although all but one were smalls. Since then any player who has been on their list over 5 years and isn't part of their best 22 has gone. Dawson will probably be chopped at the end of this year if that rule is followed. Clarkson in his first draft made it 19 of their current best 22. This core 19 wouldn't hit their straps (finals) for another 2-3 years (2007). Subsequent drafting meant kids didn't need to be rushed into the side.

Pre 1999: Richo, Bowden, Tivs
Spud:
1999: -
2000: Petts (8 ), Cogs (26), Hyde (41), Newman (53)
2001: Rodan (33)
2002: Schulz (12), Johnson (t), Moore (r)
2003: Jackson (53), Tuck (71), Raines (74), Foley (r), Brown (t)
Wallace:
2004: Lids (1), Tambling (4), Meyer (12), Patto (16), Polo (20), McGuane (36), Simmo (t), Thursty (r)
Spud left behind him ...ummm... how many best 22 (finals standard) players? Zero young rucks, 1 young KPP to a list that was light for talls. Completely stuffed up the 2001 super draft.
I see Wallace as have done/doing a Schwab. The next coach, provided he doesn't deviate from drafting youth, will reap the rewards arguably 2-3 years after Plough has gone.
