Summary

* There's no doubt there's much to play for. What he was saying was that for both clubs the winner on Saturday will be closer to finals. We're traditional rivals who will go hell for leather at each other before the midseason break. Like friday night football - for the winner you'll feel good for the week.

* Judd - until last night we weren't on the radar as far as what was wrong. We plan for him to play. We like to lock in early in the week who plays on him. More important the player(s) knows his role than the opposition finding out.

* Jacko did the job on Judd in round 1 and did well although Juddy wasn't at full fitness. Pleased with Hydey over the course 6-7 weeks with his lock down role.

* Richo's move was on the back of our own people getting frustrated with us going to him 2 out of 3 times forward. Show we had other forward options. Plough believes if you give enough supply then someone will bob up and kick the goals (West Coast as example).

* Joel - Williams gave him too much freedom.

* Cousins - list management meeting coming up. You got to ask many questions - how is his fitness, health and if he can add something to our list like helping a Cotchin learn. Not a yes or no. Does he enhance our midfield process or slow it down. Russell asked Terry how will you know for sure he is right - there has to be an element of trust? Terry said that may be a reason to say no.

* What is Cousins worth in the draft? Believes no-one will bite off too much for him but beleives someone will offer him an opportunity (not that Plough knows any club interested).

* Your greatest rival as a player? Carlton (Parkin switching from Haw to Carl) and later Essendon.

* Cotchin - will he play every game this year? If he had a preseason then the answer would be a 100% guaranteed yes. We've just got to get the balance right between playing and taking care of his body. Terry thinks he'll play every game but it's a management decison.

* Next captain? Never had dual captains at Richmond. Thought Kane's done a great job. Foley or Newy are probably favourites next in line being vice-captains but that doesn't stop someone jumping up from the pack.

* Johnson's future?  Oh well there's no guarantees for anyone of course but we'll talk about the future like we always do with every player at the end of the year.

* We need over 80k on Saturday. Rapt if it got near 100k. Great for both clubs in fact. Friday gala night is about the past with all the past champions (the game about the present). There'll be a cocktail party after the game with the past greats and current players. Hopefully we'll be in a good mood for it.

* Who's in front between Richmond and Carlton? It's have to be the Tigers won't it (laughs). I'm sticking with the Tigers.

In the early rounds you would've thought it was Sugar's last year but he came back in the middle rounds to play some good footy before he got injured. A nothing answer from Plough - neither yes nor no.

Good to hear we are treading carefully with Cotch. Although it's great we are getting games into him this year despite no preseason, 2008 is not all important for him. He is part of the future.

If Judd does play I hope Plough doesn't go with Hyde on him :-\.
