should have been done last year.

good point!!

he should have been offloaded last year but not at Punt road.
we will do the same with Meyer, JON, schulz and even Tambling.

we hold these players till they are worth NOTHING!!

in a strong draft we will be lucky to get pick 70 for pathetic pettifer

The draft isn't that strong, it's kinda like 2005
There is a strong group at the start, quite a few good talls, but it isn't that deep

Spot on.

It doesn't mean you can't find a good player later on but it's thin and recruiters will earn their money by finding the best kids outside the top 10 or so. What will deter clubs from trading away early picks though is the new teams coming in and cleaning out the best kids from the next 4 drafts. This is the last untampered draft.

Danny Meyer ::) you would have to be joking :banghead  You want us to be in the bottom 8 for the next 10 years

Is it just me or does Jackstar need a good root.

l think you will find that your wrong.
theres quite a good level of talent,lm sure clubs could quite easily pick up some very good players with later picks.
victoria has a very good amount of players this year, especially vic country sides.

as for petts leaving well lve heard brisbane might be interested ,and sherman may be trade bait.
also raines might be dangled in front of other clubs.
and jon may be part of any trading with the dockers.

Depends what you consider a late pick
In 2005 the top quality players went though to about pick 7 then only 54 players were taken
Compare that to 2006 where you were still getting quality players even into the mid 20s and 80 players were taken

The only reason it will go past pick 50ish this year is due to the compromised draft next year, but even then I doubt it will be anything close to 2006.

I'd offload him for free. Let him be a burden to some other poor team.
As for trading for Milne if that eventuated then that deal would be the icing on the Miller Cake of Catastrophe.

Seems Petts is playing as he knows his time is up at Punt Rd according to Rawlings' comments in EOTT:

"Kayne Pettifer - Played forward, midfield and back, but had little impact on the game."
