Herald-Sun rates the captains / Kane Johnson 15th
« on: July 07, 2008, 03:10:04 PM »
Mark Robinson and Mark Stevens from the Herald-Sun have ranked the AFL captains.

Kane Johnson - 15th

Released by Terry Wallace in the middle and has responded with big numbers, but query on possession-impact. Injury and indescretion sidelined him, but having his best year in some time. Controversy didn't help he's PR rating.

or my personal favourite in 07 when TW rocks up at the press conference with Sugar right by his side, just after we were smashed by 10 goals..

and people wonder why we are the laughing stock of the AFL.

Got no arguments from me although I think they were a bit hard on Tredrea having him below Kane. Maybe the AFL could see it in their hearts to allow us to have a
priority pick just for having to put up with Johnson as our captain.  :pray

Would probably play better without the captaincy.

ill be the first to admit that i cant wait for Sugar to leave Punt road but in saying that i think he would play better without the burden of being the captain.

it has worked for another club just cant remember who at the top of my head...

How does Cameron Bruce rate above anyone?

He is the Hugh Jackman of the AFL.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
