Nostradamus Froars says an election will be called today  ;)
Anyone else have a better date, place here and we'll see who's closest to the mark.

Not necessarily rigged - JH can do as he wish the smug bum.
But he is in Hobart this morning, but instead of going home to Sydney for the weekend is dropping in on Canberra.
My bet is today.

Well, that's a thought - he's teasing me lol
We usually have a sweep at work to see who's closest to the date, but we didn't have one this year - we have sweeps for everything here - Eurovision contest I had England and thought that would be a shoe in - Estonia or some country like that won it lol

I'm a idiot on this one - i think they normall call them on a Monday - because it's something like 33 days after they call it that it's held.  So i should have said Monday, but i'm out of it now  >:(  Just glad i didn't put money on it  :)

Yes that's true for the actual election froars but not for most of the campaigning and policy launches. Sorry for being cynical but you've got to love how all incumbant governments time when an upcoming election is held. IMHO they should be a set date every 4 years to provide certainty and to stop the pollies playing politics.

I thought about it after and i get what you mean - they like bringing on elections in the middle of festive seasons - hence always near the finals. I hope they don't think we're that silly.  Yep, i wouldn't mind set terms - so we all know what we're doing.
