If Plough isn't right by Saturday then I guess Royal will have to fill in.

Miller was interviewed and said Wallace just needed a day away from the club to get right and they expect him back for friday's training.

Fellas whether we like him as a coach or a person or whatever you would not wish ill health to anybody. If he is in pain someone will be hurting with him.

CH 9 news said Plough was at the club this morning but felt ill and was taken to hospital. Royal is on stand-by if he isn't right for Saturday.

Terry Wallace set to coach against Bombers
Mark Robinson | July 17, 2008

AS RICHMOND piled on 11 goals in the second quarter against West Coast on Sunday, Terry Wallace was piling on the pain in the coach's box.

Wallace, who was sent to hospital yesterday as a precaution after suffering respiratory problems, crossed the country already under duress.

His condition worsened after he directed his team to a commanding 77-point win at Subiaco Oval.

The return flight and 2am arrival in Melbourne "belted him", said one club official.

Wallace, who is expected to be fit to coach the Tigers against Essendon on Saturday, will leave hospital today.

He spent part of yesterday on a ventilation machine.

Tigers head of football Greg Miller last night confirmed Wallace would coach on Saturday.

"It was just a precautionary measure," Miller said last night.

"He was just OK on Sunday, his voice was a bit average.

"He was suffering from a bad flu."

The Tigers were supposed to depart Perth at 7.30pm on Sunday, but the plane was an hour late. It arrived at 2am, meaning Wallace would have got to sleep about 3.30am.

If, for some reason, Wallace is unable to coach, his assistant Brian Royal is likely to fill the role.
