I can't read the numbers now - with the sash again impossible.

I agree froars. White numbers on the fluro yellow we have now would be impossible to read. Maybe we're just getting old  ;D .

Don't know why they're asking either rfcta. The old guernsey wouldn't be suitable as an "away" strip and for sponsors the all black back is clearer.

Dont know why they got rid of it.

If my fading memeory is correct the sash was removed for a couple of reasons: 1/ to make reading numbers easier and 2/ because fianacially it made more sense. It made the sponsors message a lot easier to read and meant that more sponsorship dollars could come our way.

Perhaps the RFC site is asking the question to guage if it is worth having the old sash on the back for this season heritage round. Let's be honest anything is better than that horror stripe we wore last season in heritage week

I’m all for having the sash back.  There are too many jumpers that look the same from the back.  And agree with your comments Ox.

Speaking of jumpers.  The more they try to avoid clashes, the more clashes we have.

How was the ridiculous request by the AFL for the Saints to wear their away jumper against Collingwood?  The jumper they wore was more of a clash than if they had worn the traditional strip.

And from what I saw of the North/Port game, they looked more alike than if Port had worn their home jumper.

They can’t seem to design jumpers that don’t clash, so just keep it traditional.  They always look the best.
