Rumour around today that Gilbee & P Bowden may come to Richmond for Rodan & a mystery player.

Hey Ronnie Branton - how come when you post a question mark it is always upside down? :)
How do you do it, is your keyboard an old typewriter?

I'd already tried it TS. It didn't work, but I glanced at the AFL ladder at the same time and that looked good.

If the Bulldog recuiters take note of the Dogs board on BF it would be Chaffey. They rate him on there.

Gilbee and Bowden for Rodan and Chaffey would be a great deal.  I'd rather keep Rodan and offload Fiora though, but I'd be more than happy with this deal.  As long as Chaffey goes.  Chaffey IMO is the most dispensible player on our list that has some market worth.  We have many players that can replae him on the bak flank - Newman, Hartigan, Bowden, Pettifer, Jackson, Moore, etc.  Bye bye Chaffey.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Hawks want 2 first round picks for Nathan Thomson
« Reply #115 on: October 02, 2004, 02:10:01 AM »
It's rumoured the Hawks are asking for 2 first round picks as well for Nathan Thomson  ??? lol. Keep driving the big men's prices up  :thumbsup.

Quote
Hawthorn football operations manager John Hook refused to confirm rumours that the club was looking for two first-round draft picks in compensation for Thompson, but made it clear that the price for the big forward would be high.

"Unless we're adequately compensated for the vice-captain, as the key forward, still a young player, we won't do the deal," Hook said. "We're prepared to listen but they've got to come up with something, and if they think a first-round draft pick is going to do the deal, it ain't going to happen."

West Coast is believed to regard the Hawks' alleged asking price as too high, opening the field up to the Victorian clubs. It has been suggested that the bidding frenzy for Ottens and the strong interest in Simmonds could drive Thompson's price up.

Also the Blumfield for the Bombers' 4th pick (62?) has popped up again. Doubt we'll get their 3rd (46?). If that doesn't occur by friday next week then we'll delist him instead.

I've heard from 2 different people tonight that they read in The Australian that Richo might be traded.  I haven't heard anything remotely close to this and wondered if anyone could shed some light on this. :help

Richo won't be traded. If he was going it would've been last year. He has 2 more years on his contract to go and is now on the Vets list so only half his salary counts towards the salary cap. Terry also wants Richo to play across half-forward.

The Australian said Otto was off to Sydney when he wants to stay in Victoria  :P.

Apparently Simmonds has asked Freo to trade him to either Richmond, Carlton, Roos or Sydney.
