Surely you can't bring Tivendale in. Anyone remember the four posessions of patheticness in his last match which ironically was against the Crows?
I hope Carteledge gets a run at Patto's expense.

You would think that if Cartledge has been named on the bench then he's been elevated and if we've paid the thousands required to have him elevated then why else would you unless he was going to play.

Silly things do happen at Punt road  though ::)

Watching (on TV) the way Simmo was limping as he came off the ground last week, I'm not surprised that they've gone for some insurance.

I'm with Infamy.  If we've named him then he's been promoted and if he's been promoted then he will be playing.  Unless as Jack hints at - we are playing silly b..gers - and when we try that we often tend to come unstuck.  And Muscles might also be on the money - he might be in for Simmonds - at least the ruck is not Adelaide's strong suit.

Tivs won't play. He wasn't in the group of 23 at the end of training that the coaches were talking too.

Cartledge is more insurance for Simmo as Muscles said. The rucks were training separately with Monkhurst and Simmo stopped in the middle of it to go over to the fitness coordinator about his left knee. He was doing some one-legged bends to test it out. After about 5-10 minutes he was back out with the main squad for the final drill.

I guess if Cartledge has been promoted they plan to keep him on the rookie rist next year. A way of keeping him at Coburg too.

They can't keep him on the rookie list next year, he's too old and played senior football before

Doh! I keep forgetting that with Cartledge  :-\. It's just strange to promote a rookie with just 4 weeks to go if we plan to delist him anyway.

Fair call on promoting Cartledge, has been very consistent all year for Coburg

You meant he's doing a great job didn't you daniel?!  ;) I don't think anyone believes he has been staring this season but he is filling a support role. If Cartledge was able to step up and be our No. 2 ruckman I would be more than happy with Patto taking a step back.

More than likely though Cartledge will come in for Simmo rather than Patto due to injury if he comes in at all.

Goodwin didn't train today due to soreness although Craig said he'll play.
