Police investigate death threats to AFL stars

POLICE are investigating threats - including death threats - made in letters to five AFL players.

Dual Brownlow medallist Adam Goodes, of Sydney, and Adelaide champion Andrew McLeod were subjected to death threats.

The racially based threats were in a letter sent to the Adelaide Crows on the eve of the Victoria-All Stars Hall of Fame tribute game in May.

The AFL was advised of the threats and responded immediately by contacting Sydney.

The threats were contained in a letter that is believed to have been sent from Victoria.

Three other letters, also containing threats, were sent to players in three Victorian clubs.

The Herald Sun believes the other players are from Carlton, Essendon and North Melbourne.

Lets hope that the cops catch these gutless mongrels. They are playing under enough pressure as it is.
I just hope they get'em and then throw away the key.  :wallywink
