Yep poor old Hawkk on BF will come up with some crappy theory as to why it's wrong. "If Hawthorn take out all their low crowd figures their average is higher than Richmond's average"  :wallywink. Or how about saying the Pies boost our figure yet we played the Pies only once this year while Hawthorn played them twice  :wallywink. If the Hawks can't get more people finishing top 2 and with Buddy then they never will.

unfortunately their games in Tassie will actually make their claims true, but we still have the fact that they were 2nd and we were 9th and we still beat them, can't wait for us to top 4 again!

The Hawkers choose to play down in Tassie though and they are games against poor drawing clubs in Melbourne - Port, Lions, Crows and the Dogs. It enables them to avoid home games at the Dome against these clubs which would cost them money unlike us who were forced to play 3 home games there and one against the Saints at their home ground >:(. We also had more interstate away games including against Port (whose sulking fans didn't show up) and the Swans at the half-redeveloped SCG. The draw hurt our crowd numbers too which the Hawk nuffers on BF conveniently ignore. The fact Hawthorn could only get 58k to a Collingwood game when they are top 2 and flying and the Pies are in the top 8 shows the Hawks are still well behind us in terms of crowds. So up 'em!  ;D

We are a sleeping giant. A year that we make finals followed by another year in finals and more improvement will have the Tiger faithful out in force. Backed by the knowledge that most of us have seen little success in 26 years and many of us also were regulars in the good old days we will definentely be worthy of our top 4 status and crowds will be one indicator why. We have never moved home nor moved interstate to sell our soul as the Hawks have Waverley, Tassie left Glenferrie as their administration base for the open spaces of Waverley Park. Comparing both of us is like chalk and cheese. Hence the trolls fascination with us. Even history is kind to us compared to them despite our 26 year sparce finals run. We won a flag with 12 seasons in the VFL. These trolls entered in 1925 and it took them to 1957 to make the finals. Just goes to show that despite our recent shortcomings the Tiger faith and resolve is strong which will be all the more worthwhile when the tide turns in our favour and these trolls can then take their inferiority complexes and shove them them up their you know whats. :thumbsup

You're right HT74. Back to back finals would convince those supporters burnt by the late 90s/early 00s that this time around ain't another one-year wonder false dawn.
