Ch 7 and 10 news say Scotty West has been given the flick by the Dogs as has Peter Street.

Yeah saw that - Street a nuffin player, only played the games he did because of his height I reckon.

As for Scotty West - absolute champion - not a nice way to go out.

If that is true then its a very poor show of the doggies  Scott West was a club champion and deserved a proper and respectfull sendoff

Sadly Westy's body/knee was gone but he wanted another shot at playing.

Maybe another assistant coaching option for us to consider.

By Ben Broad
Tue 30 September, 2008

ADELAIDE forward Ken McGregor has retired from AFL football despite having a year left to run on his contract.

The 27-year-old played 152 matches for the Crows after making his debut against Geelong in 1999.

Not real fair is it.

Richo plays his heart out for 15 years for only two finals and probably no flag.

Nathan Ablett plays a half assed year of football, getting a game because the Cats were so good they can afford to carry a couple of duds and also because he is an Ablett.

He has a premiership medal.

It can be a cruel game at times. There's plenty of former champions who have missed out on success like Richo. Skilton and Flower only played in one finals series as well. Harvey played what 350+ games and no flag. Others are just fringe players who just scrape in on the bench at the right place and the right time and then will never be heard of again. Freame in 1980 was one.
