Bombers have delisted 20 year old Tom Hislop who was pick 20 in 2006.

Here is the true story from a fan on a bomber fan web site ;D

heard that after the B&F he was in the city and got into a knife fight with serbians trying to save a girl who was being physically abused. He apparently picked one up and threw him on the others knife, before running away from the cops and going into hiding for a month. He grew a massive beard and came back to the club claiming to be Simon Madden from back in the day, but the scar over his left eye from when he was struck by lightening alerted Matthew Knights to the lies.

He then got delisted.

And here is another bummer fan's response

Is any of that true? I know he went to the hospital from a knife fight.

Is the rest true?

And is it hardly his fault in that case?

They sure dont breed them smart in the red and black, I think the second guy is serious, lol

Just proves other clubs get it wrong with good picks as well. We got Edwards at 26 and Connors at 58 so we did okay :thumbsup.

Yep Connors at 58 could turn into a gold mine.

Discipline issues part of Tom Hislop axing
Sam Edmund | October 23, 2008

Essendon football manager Travis Auld admitted Hislop's discipline problems had been a factor in the club's decision to cut him loose.

"Tom's standards for some time had not been where we needed them to be," Auld said.

"But it wasn't the only reason."

The hard-at-it Tasmanian showed promise, despite being restricted to seven games in two injury-plagued seasons.

But the club had become increasingly concerned about his lack of discipline.

Hislop was suspended for all pre-season games this year for an alcohol-related incident in which he missed a 10am training session.

West Coast defender Jaymie Graham has retired from football.

His retirement after 37 matches follows his success in gaining custody of his five-year-old sister.

Not surprising, that would probably be curtains for Fiora's AFL career now you would think

Lucky the Ainter's have used foresight and got their new skinny whipping boy lined up, ie Ray

Yep no surprise. Sounds like the Saints are now convinced about picking up Cousins and are opening up space for him.

140 games over 9 years for pick 3. Just shows even the most maligned players like Fiora can forge out a lengthy career even as a fringe player.

Half-back/midfielder Chris Johnson has been delisted by Melbourne. It is now understood the Western Australian is eager to pursue his AFL career with Carlton and could targeted by the Blues via the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.
