Rate a Tiger's year: Chris Newman

How did we rate Newy's year?

For the second year in a row since coming back from that broken leg he played in all 22 games and statistically had his best year by far averaging 20.4 disposals (eq. 7th best Tiger), 6.4 marks and 2 tackles per game. He's now played 133 matches in total in his 8 years at Punt Rd since debuting in 2002.

Overall had a good year. Has been very consistent especially in the second half of the year. Needs to be more accountable at times as he was horribly exposed by that dirty little rodent Milne on a few occassions in Round 7.

From what little we got to see of the Tigers game in the country. I think he had a great year I loved watching him bring the ball out of defence. It looked like he's been watch Joel. Very pleasing to watch.

Come on don't you think he should be around a 7/10.

Had a great year and enhanced his captaincy prospects.

Far better player than Bowden yet struggles to shake the,"trade" tag amongst some supporters - go figure ::)
