Greg Miller on SEN

Coming up now.

They're going to ask him about potential trades but they'll probably bring up us and Wallace too.

* Currently helping out Peter Jess and Ricky Nixon.

* Wouldn't anticipate too many trades as club will wants to add kids to their list in the last untampered draft.

* Clubs do target players and other clubs in disarray and get into a player's ear over a period of time.

* Kerr is worth two first round draft choices. Robbo questioned if a trade like that would go through and Miller said trades like that and Warnock will get done. Geelong gave up Moloney to get a second first round pick to get Ottens.

* On those round-the-table talks with each club on the first day of trade week - You walk into some clubs like Geelong and St Kilda who you can trust and have an open honest talk because they will keep conversations private. Other clubs talk BS and use what you say against you. Essendon under Sheeds came into the latter.

* Disappointed about what he's read in the media in the goings on at Richmond. Obviously there's an anmesty at the moment sorting things out.

* Robbo said Terry has said we're locked and loaded and we should chase a big name which has been linked to Kerr. Whereas March wants to reduce our TPP by $800-900k which would rule out Kerr. President and coach on different paths. Miller said our TPP would have gone down naturally in the next few years as the older guys retire. Said all Terry was saying is the club can and is investing more in the footy dept compared to when he first arrived. A couple of more people were employed this year.

* Dermie joked that they had to fit Terry's wage in when he signed on and that's why they need to cut back. Miller said Terry wasn't on anymore than previous coaches.

* Robbo said the goalposts have moved on Terry as it's now a 4 1/2 year plan compared to the original 5 years. Terry will now be judged on the first 11 rounds. Miller replied an easy draw early on will be the best bloody thing for Terry and Richmond. We had a tough draw this year in the first half of the year.

* Stands by what he said and was reported in that article last week and still says Terry needs more than 5 years.

* Spoke about relationships within the club - "A quiet word is often more effective than a smack on the bum".

Well he didn't bag the club. The only one that bagged the club was chicken legs Dermot Berreton. And he should just keep traveling for all I care about his opinion.

And that is where I have a problem with March.  I don't know if he has the capacity to differentiate and choose appropriately between the two.

* Robbo said Terry has said we're locked and loaded and we should chase a big name which has been linked to Kerr.

Aaaarghhh these media fools  - WHERE, WHEN did he say that????????????????  All he said was he wanted to go to the board for permission to get involved if a player suited to our requirements became available during Trade Week.  Huge difference but the media inference paints a dishonest and inaccurate perception, if not attention grabbing.  Grubs.

Made Brereton look the unintelligent fool that he is.

So lets see if the replacement is better, still think he copped it in the neck due to politics. He's not blameless because he was not taking direction but I for one wouldn't be unhappy to see him back if a truce and then a position could be negotiated.
