Adam Thomson acts as another pick for us. Three years in a row we have traded away our 3rd pick - Polak, Morton an now Thomson.

Yeah funny isnt it, I wonder if they did some sort of analysis on 3rd round picks and their likelihood to "make it" as AFL footballers or it was just a persons view that a 3rd rounder isn't worth that much for a more advanced player with potential.

Then again it could be just coincidence and it what was needed to get the trade done on a required player.

I think you're right Chuck and we targeted a specific player type. Up to us to judge over time between Polak vs Houli, Morton vs Sam Reid (Dogs) and Thomson vs pick 42 this draft.

Jaydyn Post

Tall, athletic key position player who can play at either end of the ground. Is good overhead, reads the game well and is a neat kick. Jayden led the league in contested and uncontested marks in the 2008 TAC Cup season. and was one of the most consistent tall players in the TAC Cup. His most dominant performance came in a final when he gathered 35 possessions and took 18 marks. His outstanding season culminated in him winning the Western Jets' Best and Fairest in 2008. Jayden attended the Victorian NAB AFL state screening session where he recorded a time of 3.02sec for the 20m test and 14.1 for the beep test.

STATS
Kicks: 11, Handballs: 7, Disposals: 19, Marks: 8, Goals: 0 (Averages from TAC Cup)
