Lids on SEN @ 4.35pm
« on: September 18, 2008, 04:44:05 PM »
Lids was on SEN with Francis and Ox.

* He thought he'd finish top 3 in the B&F but to win it is a huge honour and very humbling.

* To see the confidence rising of our young blokes like Edwards, Cotchin and Connors is fantastic.

* Dad said there's things you need to do if you want to get to the level you need/want to like hunting the footy and running harder.

* Hurting your knee in West. How serious was it really? - Cartilage locked. Luckily was able to get back out there and run out the game.

* Richo - everyone loves to see the big fella running around. Would've been a deserving winner last night if he had won it.

* Where do you prefer to play? Played a bit forward annd midfield. Whereever the coach wants me to play.

* GF sprint? - Due to the knee cartilage we were just talking about just being taken out he can't be in it this year. Don't know who is in it for the Tigers. Gourdis is extraordinarily quick. Tigers have won the last two.

* Tuck - body like stone. Can't hurt him it seems. Continually puts his head over the ball. Keeps soldiering on and needs to blonde his hair to get notice and take some running bounces lol.

* Cotch - moves like Gary Ablett jnr. If he ends up half as good it'll be exciting times at Tigerland.

Gee I hope Gourdis ends up making it in senior footy.  Can hear the 50,000 tiger supporters yelling "Gooooooooooo" when he goes near it.

Lids won in 2005, Foley came 3rd behind handicap rigged Fev in 2006, and Kingy won last year.

Gourdis, Whitey or Tambo would be our quickest who haven't been in it.

He's a project type player. Very athletic and good size for a KPP but it's how his kicking/footpassing develops that will determine if he comes on. Still a iffy kick especially over distance.

According to BF they pick the handicap with 20m sprint times and Whitey's was comparitively slow so he'll start in front of everyone else and will win.
