Farewell Robert Harvey
« on: September 20, 2008, 10:29:29 PM »
A sad way for it to end for a champion of the game like Harvey. Saints didn't give a yelp for him after quarter time.

True bushy and I couldn't careless about 1 flag in over 100 years St Kilda especially their once cocky but now very quiet supporters. However Harvey has always been a humble champion.

Not fair to mention their 1 flag without pumping up the 26 wooden spoons @ 1 every 4 years.  :cheers

The Saints were insipid ;D

Harvey did deserve a better effort from his bumbling teammates

Although personally I think he went on a couple of seasons too long

I will look with interest to see who the Saints get rid of.....

As for the game and the Saints in general I still think they were lucky to actually make the 8. Certainly got found out last night..... over-rated team and Club IMHO and I love the fac they got pumped, arrogant bunch of "so 'n' sos" their sooky supporters....

Great career to Robert Harvey over 383 games.

Geez, you'd think that the Saints are gone with this current list and that they would have to cull & trade aggressively for picks & young talent to open a second opportunity for finals with Nick R as the focal point within 5 years.

Then again Ross Lyon hasn't really been a part of a club that has rebuilt lists, so you'd think that he would need some significant guidance if he makes the decision to rebuild from now.

Kosi, X Clarke & Goddard should be shopped around to see what they could attract.

Otherwise it will be great to see the Saints as cannon fodder for the next 25 years.
