We were offered a 2nd rounder last year, god knows why we didn't take it. We will get offered that this time so for the love of god make the effin trade leather face.

I cant believe you people are happy with the trade we used to get him.
When Rance and Scott Selwood were both still around at our pick 18 last year, Francis Jackson probably said the same thing to Miller.

I don't think anyone was happy with the McMahon trade especially in giving up pick 19. I guess if we say we got Morton for 19 and Jordie for 35 it doesn't sound as bad  :-\.

We may try to trade away a player next week  ;).

With such a young list you would expect our team to be uncompetitive next year and for two/three years more to come but I don't think this will be the case. Our team has a core of youth and we rely upon our young players to shoulder much more of the responsibility of on-field success than any other team. We have all discussed our lack of premiership age players and their importance but for our developing players they have never been protected and shielded by older/more experienced players so they can improve their game unhindered. This is why Cousins is so important to our list, particularly to our midfielders such as Lids, Foley, Bling, Cotchin and Collins. Lids and Bling especially have had to burden far too much for far too long. How many other teams have a midfield all under 23 and expect to compete with the strength, experience and size of players years their senior?

We are still light on talent, experience and strength but now the false dawn has passed, as long as we do everything in our power to develop our own and take no short cuts, I still believe in the next few years we will be a chance.
