Bring back footy
« on: October 16, 2008, 11:46:20 AM »
I can't wait for the return of footy.
It might stop everyone having snipes at each other.
I have noticed that its become more of a trend at the moment. Someone says something and then it's on.
So when footy is back on it might stop all this. I thought we are all supporting the same team.
All I know is I wouldn't like to be on the wrong side of half of the posters.

Well it is mighty boring without footy

Given some of the strong confrontational opinions posted I think conflict is just about guarenteed

Most of it's tongue-in-cheek stuff, Bushy
Only dills like Daniel who can't see that are the problem
You have to hit them with a baseball bat to get through to them that you're "mostly" joking
And still they don't get it;
What do you do?
You got to have a bit of fun - can't be all footy, footy all the time
A good balance is required.

I still love the Y&B but my overall opinion of footy is that
it completely sucks.

No soul left in the game.

Arsholes like Gary Ablett junior, cussing @ the brownlow because a team mate was awarded the votes,
the media and it's saturation of anything....it's a stuffen sham and I for one don't miss it at all.

Agreed 100 per cent
I'm downgrading my membership next year because I probably won't go to hardly any games.
If that offends anyone, stiff.

it doesn't offend me MOi because i expect nothing more from you.

typical bandwagons downgrading memberships, cancelling memberships then when we fly your back on board.

who gives a toss about Ablett junior who is at another team, when you see richo rolling around.

Thats heart right there and he is the reason why im going memberhip higher next year plus buying another for my mrs

I wouldn't be questioning Moi's loyalty to the Y&B cause.... correct me if I am wrong but I read that Moi is still going to be a member so what's the big deal... :-\

As for upgrading .... good on anyone who does that .... but end of the day we are all just members of equal importance IMHO

Always be a member, WP, but being half blind, I don't enjoy going these days.  And the creature comforts of home are just too appealing on those cold winter days.

Yep I've been bandwagoniing since 1965 lol
And sponsoring players for the last five or so years
Not to mention working for the club for nothing for 10 years
And not to mention earning single handedly around $40,000 from fundraisings I did, on my own, off my own bat in footy tipping competitions.
I scoff at you're piddly AFL membership and whatever you've done.
I won't be doing any more work for the club, or sponsoring players which I enjoyed enormously, and I'm going to enjoy my hard earned retirement.
So up yours sonny lol
