Anyone interested in doing an OER Phantom draft?
« on: October 21, 2008, 09:07:51 PM »
With the draft just over 5 weeks away, anyone interested in doing our own phantom draft in the lead up to it?

We could do it like most other sites (BF) where each person gets a team each but alternatively I was thinking of doing a collective effort where we discuss and vote on each pick and see how close we get. It would allow more people to join in the discussion and some people here may know more about certain draftees or those who have heard rumours on any club being keen in a certain kid or recycled player.

Anyway give us your thoughts if you're interested :).

I'll take a few teams if I have to, to keep things going.

I know next to nothing about 98% of the players in the draft but I would give it a go.

I suppose if I got the Ainters I could just pick the players most likely to be SOFA's.  ;D

Count me in too!  :thumbsup

What I did once before which was fun is that we each had a team, went through the National draft as per the official picks for your chosen club and then have an open slather trade period with every player up for trading. Once completed, you then all went into the same dream team comp with your finalised team at the end of the trade period.

Just a thought anyway.

Okay so far we have 8 in ...

Ball!
tigersalive
wayne
mightytiges
Chuck17
tiga
WP
CUB

So pick one club each just in case others still want to join in and then we can double up if need be to fill spots for all 16 clubs.

nb. I've created a Draft resource board which has links to info and video of most of the junior footballers likely to be drafted this year plus a couple of mock drafts from BF, BB and allfooty as a guide.
