The Media rating our draw .......
FoxsportsThe good: Eleven games at the MCG, just four trips interstate, home game on the Gold Coast; no real excuses for Terry and the Tigers in 2009.
The bad: Only one 'gimme' in the first six weeks as Wallace tries to win himself a contract extension. If Richmond are 1-5 or 2-4 after six weeks the drums will be beating.
Don't miss: The Tigers and Blues battle in the opening game of the season.
http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,24545946-23211,00.htmlABCPositives: Only play the 2008 grand finalists once, with the sole clash against Hawthorn not coming until round 21.
Seven of their last eight games are at the MCG and the Tigers will be pleased to avoid a trip to AAMI Stadium to play bogey side Adelaide.
Negatives: Season-opener against Carlton is huge - both for the club and coach Terry Wallace - as it's followed by two very tough encounters against Geelong at Skilled Stadium and the Western Bulldogs at Docklands. Travel to Subiaco in final round to take on West Coast.
Verdict: Wallace has admitted he doesn't expect to get an extension on his coaching contract unless the Tigers see September action in 2009. This draw gives him every chance of a new deal.
