Although we lack KPP players at either end of the ground, I think the difference between us missing finals and playing finals next season is how we set up from half back. A highly skilled, penetrating 'quarterback' is now the most important player in competition. That said, we, Carlton take Greg Tiven......

Just kidding.

#6 Carlton - Michael Hurley (192cm, 92kg)

Our midfield is quite strong now, we have some exciting ruck prospects so it's quite clear that we should now look to shore up our biggest deficiency, which is quality KPP.

Hurley is built ready to play football next year, and can play either end of the ground. Has football smarts and uses the football well.

I am sure Voss thinks that the fab four he was the main reason for the success of Brisbane and so he will be looking to build that up again. He and Lappin are gone, and Power and Black are not going to be there forever so he needs to get some now.

That means its a choice between Hartlett and Ziebell.

Brisbane Pick 7.  Hamish Hartlett

Leaves the Tigers with a difficult choice hey.

The Cotch is bound to upset 1 camp or the other no matter what his choice. No pressure.

Id rather take Trengove than Jack Zieball. Zieball seems slow to me.

The Cotch will probably post his choice late at night then go into hiding where it's safe  ;D.

The question mark over Trengove is how well he's recovered physically since ripping the hammy off the bone.

Whoever Ziebell goes to next year I can see one nutty supporter of that club bring a big bell to the game like a Freo fan use to do for Peter Bell.

Richmond select Jack Ziebell.

Very very tough choice.

Trengove did not come in to the equation.

It was always Ziebell or McKernan for the Tigers.

Ziebell wins on the basis of best available.

Ziebell is slow and McKernan has serious question marks with his kicking.

Ziebell isn't the quickest going around yes. But to say he's slow is not true. Elite kicking skills with hardness, good size and mongrel, I'd like to think I have made the right choice.

Who would you have selected?

If the real draft goes the same way as this then it could come down to these two as well. Blease (who did his AIS week with us) and Sidebottom would be other possibilities but we have a number of their type already.

Greg Williams wasn't quick either.

(Although the one game I played on him he seemed like greased bloody lightning)  :o

Blease is also a mad Richmond supporter

Anyway,

9) North Melbourne - Steele Sidebottom. North's midfield is either old or just poo. Steel will add a inside/outside ability. He can also go foward or back as required. Will also definatly play senior football in 09
