If true then we'll be going to next season relying on Simmo, Gus and Patto to share the ruck load.

Paying due respect to the unknown source, as you say MT - 'if true' - maybe the club is confident (or knows) it will be getting a ruckman with pick #8?

Even if we do get a ruckman with pick 8 doubt they will be ready to shoulder the burden of first ruck even if they are or do become the better ruckman. It will still fall to Patto or Graham.

Yep even Kruezer with the wraps on him and the No1 draft tag isn't seen as ready to bear the ruck duties as the main ruck at Carlton.  I think I read somewhere that Carlscum have told Warnock he will be their number 1 ruck and that Kruezer will be allowed to develop and mature.

If No 8 or 26 is a ruck then you wouldn't think they will be seen to 2010 at the earliest I suppose.  It will be interesting to see how Putt comes along this year although it still may be too early to know about him.

Yes. I think I heard his season ended prematurally though a knee injury (or something like that - correct me if I'm wrong). So if this is the case we may not see him until at least 2010.

Here's some Port fans' opinions of Cockshell. They're not a fan of him and his kicking.

Sounds like a lot of sour grapes coming out of Port. But that would be right as you need grapes to make wine.
What a sour mob there seem to be but you would never want to bottle them. Like a good Port.

That's right Wildride - he suffered a medial strain playing for Coburg in the "bog" up at Ballarat. It was a 6-8 week injury when he did it.

Yep, he would have been fit for the grand final if we hadn't choked.

Putt will end up a tall forward/2nd ruck IMO. We really need Gus to get through the preseason unscathed and to stand up next year in the seniors. That would then take away some of the immediate worry about our ruck depth if Simmo copped an injury.

Here's some Port fans' opinions of Cockshell. They're not a fan of him and his kicking.

If Cockshell's kicking is as bad as some of those Port fans make out then it's kind of odd we're considering him after we got rid of Gourdis.  Then again at 198cm we may be considering Cockshell as a second ruck option who can play also fill in as a KPP (a replacement for Polly)  :-\.

Yep you would think the RFC has learnt from its recruiting of players with poor foot skills

Hmmm...Sibosado not training anywhere.

Hawks have a good selection to look at.
