The Tigers will be raising money for a great cause on Sunday, November 30 down at Bricker Reserve, Moorabbin. The Richmond footballers will play the Omega Cricket Club for the annual Mike Smith Cup. Entrance fee is a gold coin donation for what has become a popular event in the south east suburbs.

A reminder this is on this Sunday.

In the local paper they have a pic of Jack Riewoldt and Kel Moore with the Omega captain so presumably both are playing in the game. Joel will lead the RFC side. According to the paper the game is on from 1pm - 5pm. They'll also have $30 raffle tickets on sale to win a $2000 Myer voucher, memoriabilia available, plus a jumping castle for the kids. All money raised goes towards Richmond's Tigers in the community charities.

BRAGGING rights are up for grabs when Richmond footballers don the whites against Omega Cricket Club in their annual charity match -- the Mike Smith Cup.

There are plenty of Tigers, including Brett Deledio, Matthew Richardson and Joel Bowden, who fancy themselves with the bat and ball. Jack Riewoldt will be MC.

Richmond trainer Chris Smith, who is also an Omega club life member, organised the game in 2000 to raise funds for his brother Mike, who was battling cancer.

Sadly, Mike died the next year but the game has since raised $50,000 for charities.

The game starts at 1pm on Sunday at GR Bricker Reserve, Rowans Rd, Moorabbin. Entry fee is a gold coin donation.

Former Fitzroy and Richmond player John Rombotis and ex-Collingwood player Jason Cloke will run a sporting memorabilia auction.
