Look up and smile at the heavens  - Venus, Jupiter and the moon will smile back

THE smiley face created by Venus, Jupiter and a crescent moon has been captured on camera by news.com.au readers.

The best time to see the phenomenon was about 20 to 30 minutes after sunset.

Venus and Jupiter have appeared side by side in the evening sky over the past week or so, but tonight was the best night to see the "face" appear, astronomers said.

Yep saw it too.  Apparently last time it happened it showed a sad face instead.

We noticed it after our son had come home from Adelaide and he pointed it out to us.
It was something to look at is all I can say about it.
I know I didn't do cartwheels once I saw it though.

The Northern hemisphere got the frown this time.

Hopefully the heavens smile on the Tigers next year  :pray.
