Great News!!! Up to 7 new boys
« on: December 04, 2008, 06:34:32 PM »
Word is that the 6 boys training down at Tigerland are effectively on trial for the one remaining spot on the list.

HOWEVER!!!!, the other 5 will then become the rookies. No recycled players (Ramps, if you read this, it may settle you down after the draft).
It's that simple Spud

If what youve said is true then that would be a positive move forward. We went to light in terms of numbers in this last draft, hopefully we can find a player or two from these rookies and the psd pick. :gotigers

Fort Caruso? Small and stocky, like a few on our list, but i loved his attack on the footy during last seasons finals campaign(disaster?) for Coburg! Do we need another type like him or stray away from small inside midfielders?

Do you mean 6 new boys Y&B? 1 PSD + 5 rookies.

I'm guessing Klad Klemke will the favourite for the PSD spot as Sydney could grab him first if we leave it to the rookie draft to pick him up.

One rookie will probably be a Burger as that is what we usually do.

that would depend on how he trains doesn't it??
personally i'm more impressed with tom simpkin or jamie sheahan and would take them over klemke for the psd spot.

I don't think we'll take a Coburg player for the rookie list this year, going on a few comments I've heard.

That's true peggles. I'm just saying if the club wanted Klemke then we would have to use our PSD pick on him.

As far as Fort and Liddle that wouldn't be a surprise. Fort is too short and lacks the exhilarating pace to compensate for his size for AFL. I thought Morris might be looked at from Coburg but I didn't see him at training on Wednesday.

Anyone have any information pertaining to these players and whether they were looked at at all?

I'm trying to get some names but believe that they are currently training at the club.
