The Saints game hurts the most as it's a game we should have won in a canter let alone never lost. We creamed them at the stoppages but kept turning over the footy every two seconds :banghead

The Saints first 5 goals were directly from horrendous turnovers from us.

And Jake King kicking across goals to contests in the back pocket  :-[
Who was it again that kicked sideways over the head of a teammate just inside the centre square and straight to Dal Santo who waltzed into goal  :P.
It would be stuck in WP's mind I'd say.  ;)
:lol

okay it never really happened lol ;)

Newy is number 17 so it must have been a look-a-like in 1 ;D

They've shown that St Kilda game. Kel's shot for goal still defies physics. It was going straight through for most of it (I was up ready to celebrate at the time) then it veered away at the last second  :( :scream. Jack should've gone the torp although if the clock was right  ::) and we weren't robbed of crucial seconds he could have easily passed it off to Jordie inside 50 IIRC.

Well I have now put myself through the Bulldogs, Saints and Hawks games so guess what?

I now get the Eagles and Hawks return game (which I'll tape this week).
I've also taped the Bombers game which is a win but not quite as impressive.

We won by clever means and ticked off every Bombers fan in the process which made victory all the more sweeter. That has to be classed as a good win ;D  :thumbsup.

Seven's new digital channel is going to show footy replays next week after it starts up on Saturday. The games are not just from 2009 but of games from the past as well.

It's really for nightowls or those on nightshift as the replays are going to be shown during the night (early morning).

Richmond is being shown on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Wed 1.30am  - R16 2009: Richmond vs North Melbourne

Fri 1.30am  - R17, 2001: Western Bulldogs vs Richmond

That bulldogs game will be worth re watching....From memory Brad Ottens was on fire that night.

Nathan Brown kicked 4 goals for the bulldogs.

Good game from happier times.

Does anyone know what time it will be on in Perth.....10:30 pm ?

I watched the first half of the replay of the draw with North this morning. Even if I hadn't had to get to bed I wasn't going to watch the second half  :P.

Watching it again it stood out like the proverbial that we really need to find a genuine big tall marking key forward. Jack does well but when he leads out up towards and outside 50 then we are left with no true tall forward to kick to. I think 5 times in the second quarter our mids kicked it on top of Nahas' head who had no chance of marking the ball. That day we were using Graham as a tall forward with Vickery in the ruck and Gus should stick to ruckwork.  He's Postie played but apart from that gutsy mark he took inside 50 in the first quarter most of his marks were on the wing.

I had forgotten how well Vickery did against McIntosh in the ruck. He's agility enables him to become another mid for us one the ball hits the deck. Provided he stays injury free (touchwood) he's going to become a good player for us once he gets a few preseasons under his belt to build up his strength and to play out 4 quarters. Blingers and Edwards were on fire in that first half off half-back. If we had a decent tall forward structure to kick to with the amount of clearances we won we could have been at least 12 goals up. Still 7 goals up at half-time shouldn't end up in a drawn game unless you tank :-\.

Cogs and Silvester are the only ones gone from that game off the top of my head.

First time I've seen that game in full as I was OS in 2001. Just a great game of footy to watch even now. Not always pretty (missing simple targets as usual lol) but a finals like pressure and close all night. To come from 16 points down midway through the last and kick 4 goals on end was gutsy. LOL @ Richo having a shocker all night and then turning the game our way when it counted. Sad we only saw Leon Cameron in Y&B towards the end of his career. An absolute gun. Browny was also on fire that night for the Doggies.
